About Us
DigiFest® is an Annual 3-Day Digital Media Festival and Competition that celebrates multi-media’s unique power to bring together several media forms that share original stories, diverse perspectives, and rich emotional journeys through collaborating digital mediums.
In 2017, Diane Strand, co-founder of the 501(c)3 nonprofit JDS Creative Academy (JDSCA) felt the void left by the absence of the Temecula Valley International Film Festival. Diane wanted to do something to fill that space in the community and came up with the idea of DigiFest® Temecula, where people with diverse perspectives at all levels of their creative careers can come together to share rich emotional journeys and connect through digital media.
JDSCA’s signature event, DigiFest® Temecula is so much more than a film festival. It’s a three-day multimedia symposium that brings together content creators in the local community, California, the nation, and around the globe to experience, learn, and network; it’s a place for digital media enthusiasts to gain tools and be inspired by experts in the industry. Attendees will engage in industry advancements, and discover how to pursue or level up a career in digital media. They will gain perspective on the connection of digital arts and the economic culture, while having the opportunity to network with seasoned pros and like-minded people.
The event includes presentations from industry professionals, workshops, and a competition of submitted digital content that includes film, video, animation, graphics, websites, photography, music, acting, scriptwriting, and other digital mediums. Competition entries are displayed at the event’s expo and Digi contenders in the film, video and animation categories are presented at the Saturday night screenings. All accepted entries are eligible to win an acclaimed Digi Award, an Honorable Mention, or a People’s Choice Award…and festival laurels can change the trajectory of one’s career.
