Ready for 𝑫𝙞𝒈𝙞𝑭𝙚𝒔𝙩® Submission Season? Here’s Your Creative Checklist
That project sitting on your computer right now?
The short film you’ve watched 47 times. The song you finally finished. The photograph you’re ridiculously proud of. The podcast you recorded. The script you keep tweaking. The animation that took WAY longer than you expected.
Maybe it’s time to stop keeping it to yourself.
DigiFest® 2027 submissions open October 1, 2026, and creators, this is your moment to get ready!
Before you hit submit, pull that project up one more time. Watch it. Read it. Listen to it. Look at it with fresh eyes. You don’t need to suddenly reinvent everything you’ve created. You just want to make sure the work you submit feels finished and represents YOU.
Check the little things. Is the audio clean? Did you catch that typo in your script? Is your video exported correctly? Are your credits accurate? And please make sure you know which file is actually the final version. We’ve all had a “final_FINAL_v3” somewhere on our computer!
Then comes one of our favorite parts: finding where your creativity belongs.
DigiFest® celebrates Short Film & Video, Graphic Design, Game Design, Music, Photography, Digital Art & Illustration, Podcast, Website Design, Animation & Stop Motion, Music Video, Acting, Audiobooks, and Scriptwriting.
That’s because creativity doesn’t look the same for everyone.
Your project could be a documentary you’ve spent months editing or a song you recorded in your bedroom. It could be a monologue, a podcast episode, an illustration, a screenplay, a website, a photograph, an animation, or a game you built from an idea that wouldn’t leave your head.
If YOU created it, don’t automatically decide it isn’t “good enough” before allowing it to be seen.

DigiFest® welcomes submissions from students, higher education creators, and professionals. You don’t have to create the same way as somebody else. You don’t have to have the biggest budget, the fanciest equipment, or years of experience behind you to have a story worth sharing.
That’s what makes creative communities so exciting. Different voices. Different ideas. Different ways of looking at the world.
So here’s your creative checklist before October 1: finish those last edits, organize your files, double-check your project information and credits, choose the category that fits your work, and take one final look at what you’ve made.
Then do something creators sometimes find even harder than creating.
Let people see it.

Because DigiFest® isn’t only about competition. It’s about bringing creative people together to share their work, learn, connect with industry professionals, exchange ideas, and celebrate what happens when someone takes an idea and actually DOES something with it.
DigiFest® 2027 is happening April 23, 24 & 25, 2027 in Temecula, California, and submission season begins October 1, 2026.
So open that project folder.
Your work has been sitting there long enough.
It’s time to share what you’ve been creating.
